must become acquainted with the provisions of the POPI Act so that all can work effectively together toward the compliance of the healthcare practice.
What is the aim of the course?
- To provide insight into the provisions of the Act so that implementation can begin.
- To provide understanding of the different roles, relationships and responsibilities imposed by the POPIA.
- To assist the practice to know when processing may take place.
- The POPIA does not envision a once off implementation effort! This course will equip the practice to make sure that processes are designed to facilitate ongoing compliance.
- To provide an understanding of the conditions for lawful processing.
